Itinerary :
Day 1 : Pick up Tambolaka Airport, Kawona Beach, Lendongara Hill, Check-in hotel ( Sima Sumba )
Kawona Beach is one of the beaches that offers very beautiful views on Sumba Island. Stretches of coral cliffs that are not too high, clean white sand, fresh air, and very clear sea water are ready to greet you every time you visit. The name Kawona Beach is taken from the location where this beach village is located, namely Kawona Village.
Lendongara Hill located in Sumbawa, there you will see a stretch of grass that is beautiful and charming green. Access to Ledongara Hill is not that difficult, the paved roads make it very easy for us to visit it.
Day 2 : Ratenggaro Village,Mandorak Beach,Wekuri Lagoon,Back to the Hotel ( Sima Sumba)
Ratenggaro Traditional Village has other unique things in its traditional house called Uma Kelada. The Uma Kelada has the characteristics of towering towers reaching 15 to 20 meters. The roof is made from rice straw and the height of each house is based on the resident social status. The building is shaped like a stilt house consists of four levels with different functions.The lowest level is used as a pet area. The second level is the main area for the owner. And above it is a place to store crops.Ratenggaro is also a traditional village that still holds firmly the preservation of the customs and traditions of their ancestors.
Nestled in West Sumba, Mandorak Beach is one of the hidden beauty in East Nusa Tenggara. This beach is quite popular amongst local and international surfers for its strong but relatively safe waves. Due to its hidden location, the facilities and accommodation in this area are quite limited.
Weekuri Lagoon (Danau Weekuri) is located in Kalenarongo Village, Kodi Utara District, Southwest Sumba Regency. Weekuri Lagoon size is not too large, about almost the size of a soccer field. The water is very clear, so the bottom of the lake appears from the surface, while the sand at the bottom of the lake has white color similar to sand on Sumbawa beaches.
Day 3 : Wekacura Waterfall ,Praijing Village,Wairinding Hill,Check- in Hotel Morinda
The beautiful Weekacura Waterfall in sumba island, This unique waterfall, located in Southwest Sumba Regency, is in the middle of a rice field and has clear blue water. Weekacura Waterfall is sourced from the ninth spring which is not far at the top of this waterfall.
Praijing Megalithic Village is definitely Uma Bokulu or traditional houses of Sumba Island. The good thing is that tourists can do many things related to these houses, including photography and exploration, as long as they get the consent of the owner. From the outside, the houses have a tall roof which is similar to a tower. However, some of them don’t even have such feature.
Day 4 : Traditional Ikat Weaving ,Tanarara hill,Waimarang Waterfall ,Walakiri Beach for Sunset Photo, Check-in Hotel Kambaniru
Sumba Ikat Weaving is one of cultural wealth owned by Nusa Tenggara Timur Province of Indonesia. Ikat weaving is an exotic fabric created by weaving artists from East Sumba.Weaving artist usually work on a piece of woven fabric for 2 to 3 month and can be 5 months if the size is large. It is a long process because they have to look for raw materials and coloring materials in the forest.
Most locals call this 60 kilometers expansive hills as Bukit Tanarara. The stretching hills start their point at 68 kilometers away from Wiangapu central town, and the access road to and alongs its location is already smoothly paved. On top of that, travelers will be pampered with beautiful scenery along the way. At glance, it might looks like few of well-known hills in Sumba Island, but the distinctive layers or gradation on the hills surface made its own characteristic stands out among the other hills.
Walakiri Beach is one of many beautiful beaches in East Sumba with a characteristic tends to be calm, sloping and having a stretch of white sand. Walakiri has a unique mangrove with white sand adorned with coconut trees that provide shade and a cozy atmosphere when visitors walk along the beach. Walakiri beach is also the right spot to wait for the sunset because there are dwarf mangrove trees grow at the end of the shoreline that adding the beauty of Walakiri Beach sunset.
Day 5 : Tanggedu Waterfall, Puru Kambera Beach,Check-in hotel padadita
Tanggedu Waterfall or called the Grand Canyon of East Sumba by the visitors is a waterfall that lies in Tanggedu Village, Kanatang District, East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. It has a characteristic form of rock relief that is very unique. This waterfall is less than 46 km north of the Waingapu city.
Puru Kambera Beach is One of the best beaches in East Sumba where there is savanna which is typical of this beach, pine trees and white sand are the main attractions of this beach. Something that is rarely found, because usually pine trees are found in the mountains. The best part of this beach is the very beautiful road to the location from Waingapu. When you see the grasslands on either side of the road complete with horses grazing, plus the sea stretching out in the distance.
